| Enthusiastic
engineers are adopting electricity as the motive power for electronics
engineering also a spacious and well ventilated Electrical engineering
laboratory has been provided with the necessary. AC and DC panel
boards. One DC rectifier with 220volts and 100 ampere capacity
is installed. Several DC motors, DC shunt motor and generator,
alternators, single and three phase induction motors, various
types of transformers, etc., are available for conducting the
latest ear-marked. |

Lab
5 labs namely Electronic devices and circuits lab. Digital signal
processing lab, Microprocessor lab, Radio frequency lab and Microwave
& optical communication lab set in a area of about 6450 Sq.ft.
is available for the Electronics and Communication Engineering students.
Various sophisticated equipments line, CROs, Spectrum analyzer , DC
trainer kits, Microprocessor trainer kits, AM receiver trainer kit,
Antenna measuring system, RF source, X & J band test benches,
LED source, Laser source are provided. |

The Highly-sophisticated computer centres are well equipped
with 226 systems of Pentium IV 2.26Ghz with 40GB Hard Disk
Drive, 128MB DDR Ram and 17" inch color monitor. The
systems are supported by 41 KVA UPS. The lab is set up in
an area of 4506.Sq.ft. and provided with granite flooring,
vertical blinds for windows and split type air conditioning
unit of 24 tonnes capacity.
Peripherals
such as laser printer, inkjet printers, dot matrix printers
and multimedia kits are available. Campus agreement has also
been made with Microsoft. Leased line facility is available.
Internet browsing is allowed for students from 09.00a.m to
06.30p.m on all days.

Biotechnology
Labs
Spacious, well ventilated labs namely, Chemical Engineering
lab, Bio organic chemistry lab, Instrumentation lab, Molecular
biology lab and Bio process lab have been established over an
area of 7200sqft for the B.Tech Biotechnology students. Various
equipments like Refrigerated centrifuge, Water bath shaker,
Shaker, UV Spectrophotometer, Calorimeter, Flame photometer,
Flourimeter, Rotameter, Orificeemter, Steam distillation apparatus,
Laminar air flow chambers, Fumehood, AGE, PAGE, Gel documentation
system, PCR machine, Sonicator, Bio reactors, have been procured
for conducting the latest earmarked equipments. |

Hostel facility is available for students. Separate modern and well-equipped
hostels for men and women are available. Well furnished rooms, spacious

and Placement Cell |

active Training and placement is function in out institution
under the guidance of our placement officer. The main function
of this cell is to arrange for on campus off & campus interviews
for the students after giving sufficient training in these aspects.
Mock interviews and aptitude test are conducted in order to
train the students. Apart from this, the cell and arranges for
industrial visits, inplant training, seminars, guest lecturers,
and industry-institute interaction. |

Library
The library of Karpaga Vinayaga College of Engineering and
Technology has Set its vision as" To enlighten the user
community". The library is situated on the Second and
Third floor of the main building with a floor area of about
6873.70sq.ft.
There
are 4 main sections in the library.

The stack room
· Two reading halls with periodical section.
· The circulation/Reprographic section and
· Reference/back volume section.

Unique feature of our library is the compulsory library hour
which is included in the student's time table (Two hours per
week for each class).
The
library has been fully computerized and all the transactions
are automated. This facility has been introduced to save the
time of students.

reading hall has been provided in the library to create a wonderful
atmosphere for reading. In the reading hall there are comfortable
tables & Chairs with a seating capacity of 150 pupils. Students

stack room is equipped with multistoried, open adjustable modern
book stack for housing the books for reference and lending.
The books are classified according to the Universal Decimal

Visual Aids & Reprography |

Audio
visual section of the college library consists of 410 CD-ROM Diskettes,100
Floppies and 4 Cassettes. These help students to improve their communication
skills and prepare for the competitive exams like TOFEL, GRE Etc.
The
library is provided with a plain paper copier to provide reprography
service to user. Due to this service the users are benefited in
getting the photo of the information required from library documents
at nominal cost. Also damage to the wonderful collection is avoided.
