SYMPOSIUM
National Level Technical Symposium SPIKY’08 has
been conducted by the society of computer application developers in
the department of computer applications on 27th & 28th March 2008.
The
First Day Mr. Hari. Govid Thilak, Senior Manager
(HR), Hexaware Technologies was the chief guest.
The second day we have conducted other events like, quiz, Project
Demo, Multimedia Presentation etc.,
Mr.
Vasan, Director & CEO of SONATA Technologies distributed
the prize winners and participants.

CSE & IT Department has conducted DEXTEROUS ’08,
A National Level Technical Symposium for two days on 28.02.2008 in
our college Ms. Swapna Rajasekar, business Partner
– HR Infosys (Finacle) has graced the function by her speech
and on 29.02.2008 Mr. G. Gothandapani, the cheief
guest General Manager, HCL Peripherals was the Chief guest who high
lightened the importance of the subject and distribute the prizes
to the winners.
The ECE Department has conducted CENNOVA’08 A
National Level Technical Symposium for two days on 06.03.2008 in our
college Mr. Balaji Prasad, I.T.S., Deputy General
Manager, BSNL Broad Band, Chennai telephone has graced the function
by inaugurating and delivering a speech and on 07.03.08 Mr. A.K.
Mohameed Azad, Chief Executive Officer, Reach Information
& Communication Systems was the Chief guest who delivered Valedictory
address and distributed the prizes. The
Mechanical Department has conducted MAGNUM OPUS ’08
A National Level Technical Symposium for two days. On 13.03.08
in our college Thiru. M. Sundar, Assistant General
Manager, (Personnel Administration), Schwing Stetter India(P) Ltd,
Chennai has graced the function by his speech and on 14.03.08 Thiru
K.V. Subbaiah, Head, Safety Research Institute, IGCAR, Kalpakkam,
was the Chief guest who delivered the speech.The Bio Technology Department
has conducted BIOBLAZE’08 A National Level
Technical Symposium for two days on 19.03.08 in our college
Dr. Muthumary, Professor, CAS, Botany, University of Madras,
has inaugurated the symposium at 09.30 a.m. and Dr. A.M. Saravanan,
Professor, St. Peters Engineering College has delivered the key note
address at 02.00 pm. On 20.03.08 Dr. S. Seshadri, Director,
AMM Research Institute has delivered a keynote at 09.15 a.m. and in
the afternoon
Mr. G. Alagarsamy, Dy. Manager, Madras Fertilizers Limited,
has delivered the valedictory address at 02.30 pm.
The Electrical and Electronics Engineering Department has conducted
AMPRA 2K8 A National Level technical Symposium for
2 days on 24.03.08 & 25.03.08 in our college autidorium.
Shri S.R. Swaminathan, Senior Deputy General Manager (Standard
Electrical Products) Larson & Toubro Ltd., Chennai has inaugurated
the symposium. On 25th March the prizes were distributed by our Director
Mrs. Meenakshi Annamalai.

MBA SYMPOSIUM:
Fostra’06
was conduced as a two-day event on 28th and 29th December
2006. Events conducted on the occasion were: Management Buzz,
Paper Presentation, Management Helm, and Executive Walk. Mr.
K. Jayaramakrishna, Vice-President, Tata Consultancy Services,
was the Chief Guest.
A Multimedia Quiz on Management was conducted on the eve of
Fostra’06 – the Management Meet on 29.12.2006.

by Department of ECE during 30th and 31st March 2007.
Chief Guest: Mr. Raghuram, Vice President (Technology),
Ramco Systems.
CSE/IT
Department: The association of Computer Science and
Engg & Information Technology Departments “DEXTEROUS
007” was inaugurated on 1st March 2007
in the college.
Mr.
VENKAT T JAGADURAI, Senior Project Manager, Polaris,
Chennai-06 has delivered the inaugural address.IV. CSE/IT
Department: The association of Computer Science and
Engg & Information Technology Departments “DEXTEROUS
007” continued on 2nd March 2007 in
the college.

PANDIYARAJAN M.E., Chief Engineer, IT, TNEB (Retd) had
delivered the key note address.
V.
BT Department: Dr.N.Karmegam AP/BT,
VMKVE college, Salem subject expert delivered technical lecturers,
followed by Dr.V.Murali, AD, (Department of
Agriculture T.N.) and Mr.M.Mayan, ADD (Department
of Agriculture T.N.) too delivered technical lectures, and demonstrated
the preparation of vermin compost to local villagers and farmers.
